Q. How do you install a street light pole?
A.The proper street light pole installation starts with a location check for cables plus pipelines under the ground to avoid damage. A really deep hole must be dug; about twice the pole's width. The depth should reach approx. 3 feet for poles between 8 to 18 feet. Place the pole in the hole as well as feed the wires through. Add concrete or soil to secure the pole next to a plumb bob for straightness. Wait until the concrete sets. A proper connection of electrical wires to the power source makes the setup safe with good grounding. Test the light at the end to verify proper illumination of the area.
