Q. How does a gravity separator work?
A.A gravity separator sorts particles by their weight and density through gravity along with airflow. The device starts when materials enter a slanted deck with slots. Air moves up through the particles as the deck shakes. The air lifts light particles or lets heavy ones sink. The deck's motion mixes the materials so dense items move to special ridges on the surface. A collection system gathers these items in groups. Light particles fall from the lower deck section but heavy ones move to the upper side. The separator excels at dividing items of equal size with different weights. Many farms as well as recycling plants use this method to sort seeds or grains.
