A.The largest distinction between a co-mill and a multi-mill is the method by which they operate and for what purpose. A co-mill consists of two V-blades that pass material softly onto a cone-screen. It deals with dry, non-hard products. It creates particles that are usually 80 to 90% of the sieve size in most cases, which is near the screen size. A multi-mill, however, employs blades and hammers that move rapidly to cut, tear, and crush materials, no matter if they are wet or slightly firm. The multi-mill typically produces larger particles, approximately one-third the size of the particles emanating from a screen.
