Q. What is the principle of EOT crane?
A.An EOT crane operates based on a few simple movements of mechanics. An electric motor drives the crane. It has the following components: hoist, trolley, and bridge. Hoist is meant to raise and lower loads. Trolley is made to have the hoist travel by the bridge. As for the bridge proper, the crane can now move horizontally from one end of a building or area to another. The trolley and hoist, on the other hand, are powered by a single electric motor. The crane works along a rail fitted directly to the ceiling. A person who handles and controls the operation of the crane has to use a remote or pendant to operate it. They can lift or lower and move the load with the control. The design ensures an appropriate load stability and balance during movement. It uses pulleys and gears to transfer power from the motor, which helps to lift heavy things safely and efficiently. For instance, it is generally used in factories, terminus warehouses, and construction sites.
