Q. What is the principle of rotary vane pump?
A.Operating on the positive displacement concept, a rotary vane pump uses a rotor inside a chamber with moving vanes. Centrifugal force causes the vanes to stretch and repudiate as the rotor revolves, thus producing chambers that trap and move fluid. The eccentric design of the rotor makes the volumes of these spaces change. Their sides grow when they absorb fluid and shrink when they release it. This motion creates a steady flow of either gas or liquid. The vanes make sure that the wall of the casing stays in contact with them, which seals well and stops overflow. Often used in a wide range of artificial tasks, the pump effectively moves liquids with low to medium viscosity.
