Description
Bio RemeTM MLSS Debulking consists of a wide variety naturally selected highly acclimatized bacterial consortium which is used to solve the problem of poor sludge settling, Sludge volume Index (SVI) and floating of sludge in aeration tank and secondary clarifier. Bulking of sludge is a very major problem in waste water treatment plant which is mainly occur due to weakening of bacteria health and increase of its biomass. Another reason of bulking sludge is the rapid growth of filamentous bacteria. The filamentous bacteria are the same bacteria which were present in the system before however they have developed Cilias or Flagella on their body. When you look at it in a microscope it has got developed into a wire -mesh or network kind of structure, which means the surface area of the bacteria has increased and hence it has become fluffy and bulky.
Generally, most of bacteria are in rod shaped or circular in physical look. However, due to non-acclimatization and lack of food or lack of oxygen these bacteria shape get transformed into Fluffy and bulky hence their efficiency also goes down. Poor settling of bacteria in volumetric test method is a clear indicator of Poor Health of the bacteria, when the health of the bacteria is poor, sludge bulking happens.
SO instead of killing of these bacteria by toxic chemicals BioReme MLSS Debulking introduce new isolated and acclimatized strains of fresh and powerful microbes which further replace these week bacteria from system and overcome this problem in 30-45 days.
Bioreme MLSS Debulking will also help reduce Sludge generation. Reduction in Sludge will happen because the type of bacteria which we are adding to the system is strong Heterotrophic bacteria. Strong Heterotrophic bacteria have a very low body mass conversion ratio. Which means they will consume 1 Kg of COD and will only generate 0.13 -0.15 % of total mass? In other words, for 1 Kg COD consumption the sludge generation is 130 -150 grams. Bulky Filamentous bacteria will generate 40% to 50% of Bio sludge and this way will help in reduced sludge generation.
