Close the printer's front cover and power on the printer; after closing the front cover, the toner should now be reset. Resetting the cartridge does not refill the toner content. It just resets the printer memory, which prompts the printer to recognize the cartridge in case it is used. The toner will really have to be replaced when it is actually empty.
