Q. How to operate a vacuum oven?
A.Using a vacuum oven is an easy task but requires meticulous handling. Firstly, inside the oven, the sample is placed so that it is evenly spaced for uniform heating. The door to the oven is firmly secured to maintain the vacuum. The set temperature shall then be set at the control panel, and vacuum pressure can be adjusted if necessary. Turn on the heating system now, and let the oven work on evicting all air and moisture. Temperature and pressure are monitored on the display throughout the drying operation. The drying time varies with respect to the material under consideration and the settings made. Once drying is completed, switch off the heater and slowly release the vacuum so as to avoid shocking and damaging the sample. Carefully open the door and remove the sample with heat resistance gloves if required. After every application, you have to clean the oven to make it run better. Check your seals and components for damage and wear to avoid any downtime. Always observe necessary safety precautions while working with vacuum ovens to ensure dry cleaning of the object thoroughly and effectively.
