A.The manual dock leveler is the simplest and most affordable way to fill the gap left between a truck or trailer and a loading dock. It neither needs electricity nor hydraulic power, contrary to its counterparts. Instead, it uses a lever or hand crank to lift or lower the leveler to match the height of the truck. This means that the operator has to exert some kind of physical force in order to set the leveler, thereby making it more hands-on work. Manual dock levelers are great for a company that doesn't often change the position of the leveler or if the electrical power is not available. They're cheaper and relatively more economical in maintenance compared to the powered dock levelers. Even though this may not be the best kind of dock leveler for huge operations, it can still provide much-needed reliability to serve environments where lighter or less frequent loading and unloading are practiced.
