Q. What is the principle of extruder?
A.The basic idea behind an extruder is to use a screw to push the material through a tube that has already been heated. The plastic or metal material comes from a hopper and is pushed into the barrel by a spinning screw. The material melts and gets hot as it moves because of contact and heat from outside sources. Then the molten material is forced through a die to adopt the desired shape. To shape the material into a homogeneous melt, which then cools down to form the final product, pressure and shearing forces are employed in the process. The continuous process guarantees the economical efficiency of manufacturing various profiles and shapes.
